What this is
A community for people who work in Sapporo and want to use one AI tool at work tomorrow — not to talk about AI in the abstract.
Most AI seminars reaching Hokkaido are built around large Tokyo companies. Small businesses here are left asking “fine, but what would we use it for?” This community exists to answer that question together, in small groups, hands on.
What we do (some of it still in preparation)
- Meetups and study sessions — small, practical, with laptops open. Dates will be announced on this site once fixed
- Local case studies — how shops, companies and freelancers in Sapporo actually use AI, published only with each person’s consent
- Sapporo Owner Profiles — an interview series with people running businesses in the city, about their work and the city as much as about AI
- One-to-one consultations for business owners (in preparation)
Who it is for
- Business owners and freelancers in Sapporo
- Employees who want to start using AI in their job
- Anyone who finds AI interesting but does not know where to begin
No technical background is needed. Those are exactly the people we hope will come.
Who runs it
YUJI, 50, based in Sapporo. After years as a company employee, a period of independence and time living abroad, he is preparing to launch an AI consulting company in 2027. He also runs the lifestyle journal JOY OF LIFE.
Language
Meetups are held in Japanese. English pages on this site are added gradually; English-speaking residents of Sapporo are welcome to get in touch once the contact form is open.
